Starting in August 2023, Ryan will be the Playwriting Fellow for Emory University in Atlanta, GA. Ryan will teach classes on theatre and playwriting, and will develop a new script during their residency.

Ryan has been commissioned by Chicago's Theatre Above The Law to adapt a new stage version of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby for their 2023-2024 season.

Ryan's play The Last Living Gun will be produced by The Impostors Theatre Company in September 2023.
