Director's Philosophy
As a director, one has to have their vision in place, and be ready to see how the show grows and expands with the actors and designers taking part. A director should be ready and capable to do it all himself, but always be thrilled to incorporate the ideas of others.
Theatre is a medium of collaboration. The auteur has no place in this industry anymore. We must unite in each project, combine our abilties, and devise the most unique, affecting, and honest-to-ourselves method of deliverying a peice's message.
A director oversees this synthesis of purpose. A director should be, above all else, a fanatic of the theatre. A fanatic with a fervor so intense he can't help but get involved himself.
Let's create something.
